Clea Primary School fund raise during Maths week!

The pupils and staff of Clea Primary School celebrated Maths Week in style recently. This annual week dedicated to Mathematics in the school was a very busy and rewarding experience. Mr O’Connor (Mathematics Department in St Patrick’s High School) made his usual visit to Clea with a group of A- level mathematics students and Mrs Connolly. They visited all classes and challenged the pupils on many aspects of the maths curriculum.

The P6/7 classes visited the Bank of Ireland in Keady where the Manager Mr McGreevy spoke on financial capabilities.

The best part of the week was ‘wear a number to school day’ and all proceeds from this event were presented to the Cystic Fibroses charity. Ms C Nugent (Parent) was presented with a cheque for £120.00 by Mrs B Comiskey (staff member) and the school council.
