Clea P.S. welcomes some very important guests.👱ðŸ»â€â™€ï¸ðŸ‘¦ðŸ»ðŸŽ–
The school council, charity committee and eco committee were so pleased to welcome Deputy Mayor Paul Duffy, Cathal Boylan (MLA), Darren Mc Nally and Regina Gartlin from the charity Mary's meals to Clea today. We were so interested to find out the roles and responsibilities of a Deputy Mayor and Mr Duffy encouraged us all to keep up our leadership roles in the future...some of us may even be Mayor some day. As well as Mr Duffy, Regina explained her work with the charity "Mary's meals." We hope to run their backpack campaign in term two. Keep an eye on the website for more information. Representatives from each committee took the opportunity to feedback to our guests some of the work that they have been involved with this year, we hope they were as impressed as we are proud of all of our hard work and achievements so far this year. Finally we presented a cheque to Mr.Keith Douglas representing one of our chosen charities; "Fields of life" for £100. This was the money raised from our Halloween non-uniform day and it will go towards purchasing mattresses for families in Uganda.
