Keady Community Festival
We are coming together over the weekend of Friday 15/03/13 - Sunday 17/03/13 as a celebration of culture and community in Keady.
On the Friday night there will be a play by a local playwright involving local performers entitled "Looking For "Tam" The Dog" at 8pm - £5 per person. On the Saturday we will have a variety of activities for individuals and famalies to take part in including:
10am-1pm: Irish language workshop in St. Patrick's High school to celebrate Irish Language week
11am-12pm: Magic Show in St Patrick's Youth Club
12pm-1.30pm: Messy play for children and young people
12.45pm-3pm: Keady Irish Language Pre-School/ Naiscoil an Cheide
2pm: Tractor run: starts at Gerard Mc Gleenon Park
2pm-3pm: Cultural Awareness Workshop
7pm: Little Stars Academy
On Sunday 17/03/13 will be a showcase of local talent and acts representing different cultures. This will include:
1pm: A parade showing representation from various groups and organisations
Between 1.30pm-2pm: Keady Community Band
2.00pm- 2.30pm: Catherine Grimley
2.30pm-3.00pm: Barry Mc Geown/ The Mallons
3.00pm-3.30pm: Little Stars Dance Academy
3.30pm-4.00pm: Speicius
4.00pm-4.30pm: Comhaltas & Irish dancers
4.30pm-5.00pm: Virtuoso
5.00pm-5.30pm: Shannon Cagherty
5.30pm-6.00pm: Trad Jam
The purpose of this weekend is to bring people together from all ethnicities and creeds in celebration of community, culture and diversity.
