Masterpieces in P4-6
P4-6 had a great day on Friday exploring music and art. The children listened to a range of classical, rock, heavy metal and pop music and were asked to draw the way the music made them feel. We discussed the changing rhythms, styles and arrangements of the music and how they influenced our drawings. The children used oil pastels to draw to the music and then we used watercolor paints to paint over the top. We looked at the different reactions of the paint and the pastels. The children then tore up their drawings and made a collage on black card using all the different patterns and colors. We then turned our collages into animals. The children thoroughly enjoyed this and created masterpieces which I think should be displayed in an art gallery. Have a look and see.
