P4/5's Special Visitor
11th Dec 2017
P4/5 had a very exciting morning in Clea Primary School. Ian Patterson kindly brought along two of his owls to meet the boys and girls. P4/5 have just recently completed non-chronological reports on owls, and what better way to finish the topic than meeting the birds up close. The children found out all about the importance of conservation of local wildlife, an owls habitat, method of hunting, position within the food chain, their status within the wild and the benefits of having raptors in our countryside. I am sure you will agree from the photos below this was a fantastic experience for all the children. It’s not everyday you get to hold an owl. ðŸ˜
