P6/7 have been learning all about the circulatory system and how our body gets and uses oxygen. We planned and carried out an investigation to find out how exercise affects our heart rate.
After finding our resting heart rate, by taking our pulse for 1 minute (or 30 seconds and multiplying it by 2), we ran for 4 minutes and then checked our pulse every two minutes until it returned to normal.
