P6/7 had a lovely start to Term 3 today with a trip to Stormont with Miss McManus and Mrs Gribben. Lucy from the Education Service taught us all about MLAs, what they do and how they are chosen. We were given a tour of the Parliament Building including the Senate Chamber and the Assembly Chamber where we had our own debate about school uniforms. No school uniforms won with 21 votes to 7!
Our local MLA and member of our school Board of Governors, Cathal Boylan, kindly came to see us and gave us a special tour of the second and third floors and we even saw a live TV broadcast take place in the Great Hall before we left!
