The School councillors and eco committee members were delighted to accept an invitation from Lord Mayor Flaherty and Councillor O’Hanlon to attend a reception in Craigavon Civic Centre on Friday past. We received such a warm welcome and the children had so many special moments during the course of the day, not least the ability to sit as real Councillors would whilst asking the Mayor questions about her role. We also got to visit the site of the new leisure center where we were given a presentation about safety on building sites and also a sneak preview of all of the amenities available to us when the new leisure center opens!
