World Around Us trip to the RNLI 🚣â€â™€ï¸ 💧 ðŸŠâ€â™€ï¸
18th Nov 2019
P4/5 have been learning all about ‘Rescue at Sea’ in their recent world around us topic, and today we travelled to Newcastle in county Down to visit the RNLI lifeboat station. We were greeted by Shane and John who work for the RNLI. Shane and John showed us all of their equipment and even let us step onto one of their boats. They were very impressed with the children’s knowledge and couldn’t believe when the children were able to name all the different types of lifeboats. We had so much fun and have gained huge respect for all of our RNLI volunteers who risk their life’s to keep people and animals safe around water.
